Dear Determined Girl,

Something that is hard to learn, but so important, is what to hold on to and what to let go of. Often we hold on to things long past their expiration date, or we hold on to things that we never should have grasped onto in the first place…or we hold on to things that would be better off not being held by anything at all.

And then sometimes, we let things go that just need a little bit of watering, some sunshine and a bit of weeding to be everything we ever wanted it to be. Sometimes we truly think that someone else’s greener grass is better, when all that we would have to do to make our own grass green is to give it the kind of love and care that every green grass needs.

Beautiful soul, it takes a lot of very important and contemplative listening to know for sure when it’s time to hold on, when it’s time to let go, and when it’s time to just take a lot of extra care to get things back to healthy. Please don’t make the mistake of thinking that something that you once deeply loved is beyond repair. If your heart tells you to stop and try to nurse a relationship, a job, your body, a skill, an old dream back to health, give it a shot and see what happens. Above all, listen to your heart.

Being brave is a big bundle of knowing when to let go and knowing when to hold on…and all of it requires making quiet time to listen listen listen to your heart, then to take action in the direction your heart tells you to take it.

Have faith in your truth.

You are so very loved.
